Prestressed Pre-Con bridge I girders manufactured with high-quality concrete lend strength and durability to the most demanding applications. Pre-Con has employed several new procedures including the creation of a new precast section that helped us to win in the Structural Innovation category of the Ontario Concrete Awards. The Moose Creek Bridge was Ontario's first total prefabricated, precast concrete bridge structure.

Pre-Con manufactured the precast I girders for one of the largest bridges constructed in Ontario in the past 10 years. The award-winning Perley Bridge Replacement project crosses over the Ottawa River, linking Hwy 417, 34 in Ontario to Hwy 418, 158 in Quebec. Pre-Con fabricated the haunch I girders and I girders. When post-tensioned on site, the I girders spanned over 70 metres.

Manufacturing Excellence
Pre-Con technicians follow rigorous manufacturing practices at every stage of production. Precision workmanship in the plant ensures fast, problem-free installation on the job site. Fabricating the I girders in our plant means controlled curing conditions for years of durable service. Finally, the knowledge and experience we have in the precast/prestressed industry has resulted in many first and now proven techniques.
